01 Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using CashPicks ("the site", "our service"), you confirm that you've read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors and users. If you're using the site on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for them.

02 About our service

CashPicks is a free online comparison platform that helps Canadians find and connect with licensed lenders for short-term loans.

We are not a lender, broker, or loan provider. We do not issue loans, approve or decline applications, lend money, or set the rates, fees, or terms of any loan. Any loan you obtain is a separate agreement between you and a licensed lender. We simply help you discover and compare options.

03 Eligibility

To use CashPicks, you must:

• Be at least the age of majority in your province or territory (18 or 19+)
• Be a resident of Canada
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Provide accurate and truthful information

CashPicks is intended for use in Canada only. We make no claim that our service is appropriate or available outside Canada.

04 How the service works

When you use our calculator or comparison tools, we may match you with one or more licensed lender partners based on the information you provide and your province. You are under no obligation to apply with any lender we show you.

If you choose to apply, you do so directly with that lender, under their terms and application process. The decision to approve or decline, and the final terms of any loan, rests entirely with the lender — not with CashPicks.

05 No financial advice

The information, tools, and content on CashPicks are provided for general education and comparison purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice, and should not be relied on as such.

Our calculator gives estimates based on the inputs you provide and general rules; actual loan costs come from your lender. Before borrowing, consider your situation carefully and, if needed, speak with a qualified professional.

06 Your responsibilities

When using CashPicks, you agree to:

• Provide information that is accurate, current, and complete
• Use the service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes
• Keep any account details you create secure and confidential
• Not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site

You are responsible for your own borrowing decisions and for reviewing any loan agreement before you sign it.

07 Third-party lenders

CashPicks lists licensed lender partners, but we don't control them. We're not responsible for, and don't guarantee:

• Whether any lender will approve your application
• The rates, fees, or terms a lender offers you
• The conduct, products, or services of any lender
• How a lender handles your information once you apply with them

Your relationship with any lender is governed by that lender's own terms and privacy policy. Any dispute about a loan is between you and the lender.

08 Intellectual property

All content on CashPicks — including text, graphics, logos, the CashPicks name, the calculator, and the site design — is owned by CashPicks or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual-property laws. You may view and use the site for personal purposes, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute our content without our written permission.

09 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or someone else's information
• Interfere with, damage, or disrupt the site or its security
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the site without permission
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy any part of our platform

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these Terms.

10 Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the information on it is complete or current at all times.

11 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CashPicks and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the site
• Any loan you obtain (or fail to obtain) from a lender
• The conduct or content of any third-party lender or website
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in our content

Because we provide a free service and don't lend money, our role is limited to helping you compare options.

12 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CashPicks, its team, and partners from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13 Privacy

Your use of CashPicks is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information under Canada's PIPEDA. By using the site, you consent to those practices.

14 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of CashPicks after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Please review this page periodically.

15 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
